Want to know what our cosmetic dentist can do for you? 5 FAQs answered by Dr Bobby Chhoker
When you are fed up with how your smile looks in photos, or if you simply don’t want to hide your smile for the rest of your life, cosmetic dental care can be a suitable solution.
Becoming more popular in dental surgeries, it is now possible to whiten, straighten and replace missing teeth without needing to book yourself in for extensive treatments. And, unlike certain other dental procedures which are mainly focused on the restorative aspects of dental care, cosmetic dental care will always be aimed at meeting your goals and how you want your smile to look.
Our team at the Dr Bobby Chhoker dental practice can help you meet your aesthetic goals for your smile. Our cosmetic dentist has extensive expertise in helping to create smiles worthy of the red carpet, and will always aim to match however you want the final result to look, irrespective of the starting point. Great stuff!
Do you have some questions for our cosmetic dentist about what is involved in dental aesthetics? Read on for the answers to common FAQs that we receive.
Is it expensive?
It depends entirely on what you are having done; should you come to our cosmetic dentist for tooth whitening, that is going to cost less than fitting a dental implant.
As the service is catered to you, the cost will also be unique to you and while it can seem pricey, we are more than happy to offer eligible patients 0% finance on cosmetic procedures. So, you can break down that final figure into affordable monthly chunks. Great!
Do all the procedures offered last a long time?
All of the cosmetic procedures we offer are designed with longevity in mind but there are some things that you can do to ensure that any treatment you have with us will have a good lifespan.
Always aim to keep on top of your dental hygiene, attend biannual check-ups with our team and refrain from smoking excessively or consuming too much alcohol.
Can I get whichever treatment I want?
We will always try to offer the service that you want to brighten your smile, but we will need to perform a thorough exam first to check suitability. While you may have your heart set on a certain procedure, it may not be possible or suitable for our team to offer it to you.
For example, if you are looking to restore your smile from missing teeth using dental implants, you may be unsuitable based on jaw bone density, thus making you a better candidate for dentures.
Will my teeth be damaged?
There are no instances in which cosmetic dental care should damage your teeth.
If you have had cosmetic dental care in the past which has damaged your teeth, see our team.
Does cosmetic dental care help with oral health?
Oh yes!
Many cosmetic procedures can help reduce plaque build-up (oral implants), help with sensitivity (veneers) and help with bone stabilisation (dental implants). Perfect!
